Our plan was executed to perfection. Humperdinck fell for my bluff, and now sits bound to a chair. The only thing left to do is find Fezzik and leave this castle once and for all.
I am thankful for my timing. Buttercup would have committed suicide had I not been lying on her bed, waiting for her return. To see her such stages of depression and acceptance towards me abandoning her was heartbreaking, but I know I will never see her so sad again as long as she lives. I know she denied my absence all the way until "Man and wife" was spoken. And this is why I truly love that woman, for I would have done the same.
I cannot wait until this day ends, and we can be safe once more. I have to say, all this excitement has worn me out and I became quite fond of the bed I was resting on while I waited for Buttercup.
